SARAH ARBUCKLE On Wednesday, August 16, 2000, our mother, gramma, great-gramma, sister and friend passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Joe (Angela), Marlene (Lorne) Kostynyk and Bev McNamara; her grandchildren, Chris, Darren, Jody and Sean; great-grandson Tyler; brother Joe; sisters, Grace and Josie (Laverne) and nieces, nephews and many friends. Sarah was self-employed most of her life as a seamstress making many drapes and fixing many pairs of pants. She was such a friendly, active person with a smile for everyone. She bowled, played cards in a longtime ladies group, loved her Bingo and was a Legion member. Her love of music made her the first one to get up to dance at any social gathering. Her love and concern for family and friends will be cherished in our hearts forever. Sarah was predeceased by her son-in-law Pat McNamara; and her parents, Joe and Frances Gatto. Special thanks to staff at St. Boniface Hospital 3B for the loving care for Sarah and the kind support for her family. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Sarahs memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 9Z9.
